Job Description:

Position: Senior Developer, Software (San Diego, CA)

Duties: Oversee the design, development and delivery of database

applications. Create and build application roadmaps and ensure the long

term usability of developed applications. Design, program, develop,

analyze and implement Informatica based applications. Design and develop

data structures in MS SQL Server and Oracle. Perform architecture design

for systems and projects and ensure that team members adhere to design.

Serve as a technical point of contact for external vendors. Create code

documentation, implementation instructions and integration test plans for

applications. Produce technical documents in accordance with SDLC

guidelines. Communicate with both technical and non-technical groups

throughout the development lifecycle. Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and

improve existing applications and systems.

Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related analytical field and

2 years of experience database development and ETL; OR, in the alternative,

a Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science,

Engineering, Mathematics, or related analytical field and 5 years of

experience as indicated above.

Also requires: demonstrated expertise (DE) performing database extraction,

transformation and loading (ETL) and developing stored procedures across

multiple systems using SQL 2005/2008 and Oracle; DE utilizing Informatica

7i, 8.i and 9.i to develop rules for database ETL procedures, including

Informatica Power Exchange to convert data from different formats; DE

performing unit and system testing to ensure accuracy of data extraction;

DE developing and maintaining complex data extraction mappings including

Flat-File, XML, Oracle, and SQL Server Sources and Targets; and DE

interfacing with business shareholders, project managers and internal

customers to gather requirements, and translating requirements into

technical architecture.
