Job Description:
Position: AVP, Product Management (San Diego, CA) Duties: Responsible for leading the development effort by
outlining work in the product backlog, and prioritizing work based on business
needs and value. Formulate and define software application scope and
objectives with Product Manager, business stakeholders and end clients. Oversee
development of business requirements and transform requirements into
functional specifications or User Stories for development projects.
Interface between programmers and the business and work with stakeholders,
analysts, testers and engineers. Oversee application and system testing.
Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies and techniques into the overall
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Perform analysis and create UML
diagrams to document current business processes/systems, and perform Gap
analysis of current systems to proposed systems. Facilitate Story Point
discussions with development team to analyze the level of effort on
project specifications. Identify discrepancies between end client
requirements and system specifications. Transfer, translate, format, integrate
and convert data for customers. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent)
in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business
Administration, Finance or a related field and four (4) years’ experience in
business analysis and product management; or, in the alternative, a
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems,
Business Administration, Finance or a related field and six (6) years’
experience as indicated above. Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): defining and creating
User stories to guide development team, and collaborating with an
assigned business unit to accept completed user stories; DE promoting
user adoption of new system features for internal user base, external customer
base, and product management; DE building, prioritizing and maintaining
Product backlog of new features in an Agile environment, and working
with business stakeholders to define long-term systems roadmaps; and DE
interfacing with business stakeholders to analyze business requirements including
