Job Description
Are you a Software Development Engineer, fluent in MS .Net tech
stack, a motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt
to new technologies who would be working on client world class
suite of Products.

global team of over 2000 engineers and computer scientists. We work
on more than 75 leading industrial automation and engineering

Job responsibilities
The SDE will work primarily on client Monitoring and Control Line
of Products namely System Platform and InTouch OMI
Author and implement software design specifications, take ownership
of product components and features. Own and maintain the various
subsystems within the product.
Develop and maintain a set of APIs for cross product
integration
Analyze and provide the right solutions to broadly defined problems
in close collaboration with Senior Staff members in the team in a
timely manner.
Work with offshore development center resources if needed. Author,
drive and validate design, test and cybersecurity artifacts as part
of the standard development process using outsourced partners.
Collaborate effectively with experienced cross-functional product
development teams (product development, product management, program
management, and Delivery team) to understand and gather
requirements, build and architect solutions.
Potentially work with customers to understand their
requirements.
Be an innovative engineer within the R&D organization. Push the
envelope on innovation by bringing forward new ideas and processes
for improving the efficiency of our execution and validation
processes.
Qualifications / Required Skills and Experience:
A BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
1 - 4 years of software development experience with a focus on
IDE/platform development, as well as strong exposure to API
development.
Fluent in the .NET tech stack (C#, .NET programming).
1 - 4 years of C#.NET experience building Windows Desktop
Applications: WPF/ WinForms is highly preferred.
Experience with an agile software development model.
Strong technical/engineering background with the ability to analyze
and solve difficult business problems in a complex domain.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills especially for .NET
Applications.
Experience in SQL and C++ programming is desirable.
Experience developing and deploying cross platform applications
using .NET Core, .NET Standard that can run both on Windows as well
as Linux OS is desirable.
Experience working with Azure DevOps using Git or TFVC.
Experience working with distributed / remote development and test
resources to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software
releases is desirable.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with
ability to articulate the problem and solution space to different
kinds of audiences.
Highly motivated self-starter with an innovative thinking bias
Prior experience with Wonderware System Platform / InTouch is
desirable.
Effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as
ability to think abstractly.

Compensation: -This position is also eligible for Cognizant's
discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and
subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
