science of evidence-based advanced nursing as a Clinical Nurse
Specialist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Rady
Children's Hospital! Be a well-respected expert at the bedside and
lead the charge in improving the patient care experience alongside
our team of passionate and hardworking nurses. This specialized
role supports the Level 4 NICU at the Rady Children's Main Campus
and Level 2/3 NICU satellites.The CNS will focus on 3 main
responsibilities:Comprehensive Patient Care: As a Clinical Nurse
Specialist, you will act as a valuable resource for medically
complex patients, providing specialized planning and coordination
of care. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure
patients receive the best possible treatment and support.Research
and Best Practices: Keeping abreast of the latest developments in
the field of neonatal critical care, you will actively research
best practices, new protocols, and emerging therapies. By
integrating evidence-based findings into patient care, you will
contribute to the advancement of treatment approaches.Mentorship
and Education: You will play a vital role in supporting and
mentoring new staff, including recent nursing graduates and new to
pediatric nurses. Your mentorship will help cultivate a supportive
and knowledgeable team of healthcare professionals.Make a

years of experience as a Registered Nurse - new grad CNS's are
welcome to applyCurrent California RN LicenseClinical Nurse
Specialist CertBLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHANICU only
- National Certification Neonatal Intensive Care (RNC-NIC)PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:Doctorate Degree (non MD)5 years of experienceNRP
Certification-AAP (for NICU)The expected hiring range for this
position is $61.30 to $91.95.Rady Childrens Hospital is committed
