We are seeking a Director, Surgical Services to lead a team of dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals that seek to make a difference in the lives of our patients and families.JOB SUMMARY:The Dir, Surgical Services collaborates with Sr leadership and subordinate staff to plan, implementand evaluate processes related to performance improvement, staffing effectiveness, fiscalmanagement, staff competence and customer service outcomes within designated units/services.Ensures that regulatory requirements/standards are communicated, implemented and monitored.Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to plan, implement and evaluate activitiesrelated to department and organizational objectives. Models customer service excellence.Participates in rotational on-call duties including, but not limited to, responding to emergencysituations, maintenance malfunctions, or staffing situations that require coverage.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors DegreeCA RN License5 years of experienceAt least five (5) years in administrative or supervisory experienceBroad knowledge of the disciplines represented in the department and of the laws and regulations pertaining to services provided by the departmentBachelor's Degree with current enrollment in a Master's Degree program will be accepted.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Masters Degree6 years of experienceThe expected hiring range for this position is $86.06 to $118.33Rady Childrens Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
