Responsibilities: As a Premium Audit Manager, you will be partnering closely with directors, team leads and senior leadership to align and support the premium audit function and various underwriting goals while working cross functionally on organizational initiatives. In this role, you will make data driven decisions regarding the strategy of our premium audit team. This includes regular review of our vendor performance while working with our data analytics team to identify data needs to meet and exceed industry standards when it comes to premium audit. This role includes both defined ownership responsibilities to include leading a team as well as completing and delegating projects to completion. Additionally, you will collaborate to identify opportunity for increased customer experience when it comes to the premium audit lifecycle. It is expected that our premium audit manager will work with senior leadership on underwriting activities including but not limited to: interface with customers and vendors via phone and regular video conference calls, internal messaging, or email, management and oversight of department tasks, evaluation of results and deployment of resources.     • Proactively review data as a method to identify new opportunities within the underwriting and premium audit function(s).
    • Develop and coach team members; l ead in development of training for areas of expertise and
    • Formulate and oversee department initiatives including but not limited to oversight of a team
    • Formulate professional communication to various state departments
    • Communicate with stakeholders on various key projects

    • Proactively identify areas for process improvement, innovation, and opportunities for efficiency and synergy
    • Partner with management on engagement strategies that improve employee satisfaction, this may include coordination of community and/or company events
    • Travel to meet with our audit vendors or potential NCCI and bureau contacts in relation to premium audit
    • Participate in the review and testing of system rules in relation to premium calculation of class codes and other important premium audit factors
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams i.e. finance, data, and claims to identify and implement best practices in premium audit; liaise with our Data Team to foster ideas and needs to grow our technical knowledge within the department as well as our Business Development Team to help prioritize projects and oversee premium audit performance with our wholesale partners
    • Continuous learning - pursue your career development and continued education, specifically around rules and regulations pertaining to premium audit with state bureaus, NCCI, etc.
    • Annual review and oversight of the premium audit budget including vendor management budget as well as expense budget of direct reports and team Qualifications: What you need to have:
      • Bachelors degree
      • 5-10 years of experience in the Insurance industry preferably with Workers Compensation Background and Premium Audit Background
      • Success leading and developing a team of direct reports
      • Ability to comprehend and draw conclusion in accordance to Basic Manuals and State Specific Guidelines
      • Ability to travel domestically (up to 15%)
      • Must be fully vaccinated and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless prohibited by law* What makes you stand out:
        • Prefer one of the following: CPCU, ARM, or other insurance designation
        • CA/ WCIRB premium audit and test audit program experience is highly preferred
        • Excellent communication and organization skills
        • Strong customer orientation including strong interpersonal, communication and consultation skills
        • Ability to manage and influence in a cross-functional matrix environment
        • Strong discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information
