The Connected Smart Solutions business unit is looking for a Business Development Manager (Senior/Staff level) for emerging opportunities in AI camera and AI edge appliances. You will get an opportunity to exercise a strong understanding of video and AI technologies coupled with a keen business sense to identify key investment areas and to drive comprehensive go to market plans. The ideal candidate will collaborate with several other business segments, engineering leads, operations and product management to create strategies that foster growth of the overall business unit. Responsibilities:
Carry out market analysis and identify new opportunities for silicon and services revenue
Identify and segment key customers and sustain growth at existing customers
Work in conjunction with product management and engineering to capture HW, SW and services requirements. Track industry trends.
Drive key ODM/OEM accounts & partners directly
Deliver segment financial objectives including revenue, profit & growth
Develop a comprehensive 5yr business strategy including investment plans to drive strong YoY growth
Monitor and manage near term financial performance in conjunction with finance team
Create segment specific presentations tailored to global sales teams, internal stakeholders, investment review boards, customers, and partners
Ideate concepts for new minimum viable product and develop silicon & software roadmap
Develop partner eco-system & new business models
Collaborate with internal marketing teams to promote solutions to media, analysts and other external marketing targets
Represent Qualcomm in industry forums & conferences
Work closely with Qualcomm regional sales teams to scale business globally and achieve revenue goals ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong technology background and expertise with in Imaging, CV and/or autonomous systems programs
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to build a network within the organization and ability to manage deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to manage, influence, and set direction of multi-faceted, multi-disciplined teams and programs independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to articulate vision and influence decision making and outcomes both within internal and with external teams through effective communication skills at all levels
  • Capable of synchronizing and motivating other program managers, product management and engineering leads to attain common goal
  • Strong evidence of entrepreneurial mind-set and new product development
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a multi-cultural environment with strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Creative problem-solving skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to -- mile
      • Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs
      • Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting)
      • Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day
