The Specialized and Asset Finance Division, part of the Commodities and Global Markets Group, is a leading structured & asset finance and leasing specialist. We are responsible for the investment in and financing of capital equipment in industries where earnings flow from the use of these assets. We provide finance solutions for government and corporate markets and are one of the largest independent providers of operating lease finance in the Asia-Pacific region as well as having significant operations in Europe and North America. We have approximately 900 staff engaged in leasing and asset finance / lending activities in diverse asset classes across various locations through Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America.Our Leasing & Trading division focuses on financing a broad range of equipment including a substantial focus on technology and manufacturing equipment. Business is generated across the full spectrum of customers and deal types, ranging from structured transactions for large publicly listed customers to small ticket SMB flow business supporting global vendor partners.We are looking for an Operations Associate to join the team in San Diego, San Jose, or Boisy, You will support the equipment trading business and work under the direction of the Sr. Sales Operations Manager. To be successful you will bring very strong data management skills, basic finance and accounting capabilities, be comfortable with various system structures, data entry, data validation, routine transaction processing, and reporting. Sapphire, the primary data management system used by the business, is proprietary but is based on so familiarity with Salesforce would be valuable.Your responsibilities:

  • Support the daily transaction processing activities, including invoicing, document processing, funds receipt and allocation, compliance screenings, lead conversions
  • Perform basic accounting and finance functions
  • Run routine and ad hoc reports, ensuring data accuracy
  • Support a variety of team members with operations initiatives and projects
  • Regularly review data input for consistency and conformity with business rules and operations
  • Documenting existing processes and proceduresYour experience:
    • At least 2 years in business environment
    • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
    • Transaction processing, data management, basic finance/accounting experience, or sales operations experience a plusYour additional knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Amazing attention to detail
      • Capable of working independently and in a team setting
      • Self-driven and willing to solve problems and promote efficiency wherever possible
      • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and Outlook
      • Strong organizational abilities as well as the commitment to follow tasks through to completion
      • High level of initiative, motivation, and strong time management
      • Flexible, can-do attitude
