Come join the Neo team and be part of our amazing World Class Culture!NeoGenomics is looking for a Staff Accountant who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.Now that you know what we're looking for in talent, let us tell you why you'd want to work at NeoGenomics:Position Summary:The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Company's Finance team and is responsible for the preparation of various journal entries and assists with various aspects of the Company's month-end close. Additionally, the Staff Accountant performs a monthly internal audit to verify the completeness and accuracy of billing milestones and revenue recognition. The Staff Accountant will work directly with the Company's Project Managers to investigate and correct any differences between billing milestones and monthly lab activity.Core Responsibilities:--- Prepare journal entries, analyze transactions and prepare reconciliations for moderately complex accounts, with focus on revenue, commissions and royalties.--- Perform a monthly internal audit to verify the completeness and accuracy of billing milestones and revenue recognition.--- Prepare and review purchase orders and accept invoice payments within Oracle.--- Foster working relationships cross-functionally.--- Identify areas of efficiencies to improve current process and procedures and determine scalable solutions.--- Assist in the submission of the Audit requirements from Internal and External auditors.--- Perform other duties and ad hoc requests as requested by Management.Requirements:--- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting--- 1+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, preferred--- Knowledge in general accounting.--- Ability to analyze and interpret data.--- Proficient in Excel with knowledge of and experience with Microsoft office products (Power Pivot knowledge a plus).--- Experience using accounting ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).--- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
