of public accounting.Job Summary:The Audit Intern works through a
short-term program to learn and apply firm-approved audit
methodology and assist with completing assigned tasks. Works with
auditing staff to learn day-to-day activities of audit engagements
and support the execution of high-quality audits. Participates in
client and engagement team interactions as appropriate. Assignments
may include supporting audits, reviews, compilations, and
consulting engagements.Essential Functions: To perform this job

essential functions.Auditing Financial Records/AccountingLearns and
participates in engagement planning as appropriateLearns and
participates in risk assessments as appropriateSupports analytical
reviewsAssists in drafting financial statementsAssists in drafting
other client deliverablesFinancial ReportingAssists in calculations
for preparing financial statements.Client Relationship
ManagementCommunicates with clients as appropriate to secure
documents and financial information.Administrative TasksFollows all
policies and procedures established by firm.Enters time daily to
ensure current and accurate tracking of hours.Assigns hours to each
client to ensure accurate billing.Follows safety rules according to
firm Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).Marginal
FunctionsAccepts tasks as assigned to support auditing staff.Job
Requirements: To perform this job successfully, the individual must
possess the following education, licenses and certifications,
experience, and skills.EducationMinimum Education (or substitute
experience) required: Working towards Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting or related field. May be working towards masters'
degrees or as summer interns or during academic breaks.Licenses and
CertificationsMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license to
travel to client locations.ExperienceNo minimum professional
experience requiredTechnical SkillsFoundational understanding of
accounting theory and accounting practices.Solid understanding of
the rules, regulations, and code of conduct.Foundational knowledge
of the auditing guidance utilized by the firm.Strong attention to
detail.Strong organizational skills.Comfortable working under
pressure, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.Solid skills in
Microsoft Word, Excel including advanced Excel functions; Caseware
exposure is a plus.Interpersonal SkillsHigh level of enthusiasm to
work collaboratively in a team environment to meet and exceed
expectations for internal and external clients.Self-motivated to
complete tasks and assignments with guidance from the auditing
staff. Able to work in a high pressure environment.Upholds the
professional standards of conduct for respectful behavior and

this position ranges from $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. Actual
compensation will be dependent upon the individual's
qualifications, experience, skills, licensure, and
certifications.
