John Asdell with Robert Half is partnered with one of the largest commercial construction firms in the country to identify a strong Accounting Manager to lead the general ledger function. The ideal candidate would have experience as a Controller of a small to midsized construction company or as an Accounting Manager of a large organization with revenues greater than $1B (does not need to be construction). The core focus of the role will be in general ledger and project accounting. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Additionally, you lead a team of staff accountants and AP staff.The Accounting Manager role comes with a very strong base salary plus a generous annual target bonus. Additionally, this role is able to work hybrid with two days remote from home.General Scope of Responsibilities:Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processesEncourage and manage the full accounting team performance so that close deadlines are metOrganize a variety of project accounting analyses, procedures, and policiesCollaborate with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlookBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience7+ years of general ledger management experienceConstruction Accounting experience highly desired, but not requiredProject Accounting/Job Costing experience preferredCPA or MBA preferred, but not requiredRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
