assistance.POSITION OVERVIEWUnder general supervision, coordinate
the acquisition of goods and services including equipment
acquisition, and assist with the contracting for professional
services, design services, business contracts, consulting, and
personal services. Uses professional purchasing skills and concepts
to complete purchasing assignments, requiring analyzing and
reviewing procurement options. Has authority to make purchases
within a pre-approved dollar limit. Exercises judgment within
defined limits and practices to determine the most effective
methodology to acquire common goods and services. Works on problems
of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a
review of various factors. In support of the HDH program at UC San
Diego, the incumbent analyzes and facilitates HDH refresher
projects performed annually. Assists in the coordination of the
project life cycle including performing tasks related to budget
development, implementation, project completion, and facility
opening. Maintains inventory for all furniture in HDH, which
includes inspecting and purchasing professional staff residential
furniture.DEPARTMENT OVERVIEWHousing Dining Hospitality (HDH) is a
self-funded, large and complex campus department consisting of 7
divisions, with over 700 career employees, 1000 to 1200 student
employees and an annual operating budget greater than $200 million.
HDH provides housing for approximately 18,000 undergraduates, grad
students, faculty, staff and their families in over 400 buildings
covering over 8 million sq. ft. HDH is in the midst of implementing
an aggressive building plan which added 10,000 new beds in the next
10 years and will almost double our square footage by
2032.Currently, HDH houses 38% of UCSD's enrolled students with a
goal of housing 65% by 2032. HDH provides maintenance and repair,
contract meals/meal plan management, as well as retail food
service, conference services and catering services to residents,
students, faculty, staff, and campus

analytical skills to perform studies, prepare reports, and compile
data into accurate, concise, and complex reporting
mechanisms.Excellent organizational skills in order to prioritize
multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in an environment of heavy
pressures and changing priorities.SPECIAL CONDITIONSJob offer is

San Diego Police Department without delay.Pay Transparency Act Full
Salary Range: $60,782 - $93,960 AnnuallyThe University of
California, San Diego is required to provide a reasonable estimate
of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into
account the wide range of factors that are considered in making
compensation decisions including but not limited to experience,
skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and
certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is
not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the
top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based
on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary
range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The
budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably
expects to pay for this position defined as the Expected Pay Scale.
Placement within the Expected Pay Scale is determined by internal
equity, relevant qualifications, and collective bargaining
agreements (when applicable).Job offer is contingent on successful
