Job Description:

Summary: The Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the partnership with our Product, Marketing and Business teams to ensure that our customers understand the who, what and why of the Nortek Control product catalog within a particular channel. The Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating internal and external resources to best educate our users about how to engage with and get value out of our products. Primary Responsibilities:--

• Define product value propositions and positioning in the context of product strategy and market landscape to develop the understanding of 'why' we are building products and features
• Assist in the marketing launch for new products to include planning, updating project timelines, scheduling reviews, and building-out sales tool kits
• Understand product features and specifications to translate and articulate them to benefits and value-based messaging
• Create resources to provide product education and support the success of the product line by creating and editing content including training material, communications to customers, sales-enablement tools, etc
• Identify, scope, and spec opportunities to improve processes and products, and work with the product team to prioritize these improvements
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with our internal creative & digital teams to ensure product messaging, design and copy are in-line with approved messaging and positioning
• Assist the Product Marketing Team in keeping projects on schedule
• Other duties as assigned Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, preferred; comparable experience will be considered
  • 1-year experience in product marketing or related
  • Experience working with B2C or B2B technology products in a multi-channel organization, preferred
  • Up to date on the latest marketing trends, tools and technologies
  • Experience in the smart home/home automation industry a plus, but not required
  • Proven organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work against deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate well with other departments, management and team
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite are required
