qualifications of the Ascent Growth Marketing CoordinatorObjective:
We're looking for a Growth Marketing Coordinator to lead our demand
generation team. The Growth Marketying Coordinator can be hybrid
out of the San Diego office or remote. Our ideal candidate
would:
- Be excited about building our brand and relationships with our
partners and customers.
- Understand the importance of brand consistency across all
channels.
- Be diligent managing partners and be able to clearly identify
opportunities to expand each partner.
- Find data thrilling and have the drive to be self-directed. Be
flexible and responsive – things tend to change in this
industry.
- Enjoy leveraging data to tell a story that helps direct the
marketing initiatives for maximum impact.
- Be comfortable in an analytics-driven environment. We like
numbers. You like tracking performance.
- Develop hypotheses, lots of them. Enjoy innovating and
optimizing content in a test-and-learn environment.
- Be a creative problem solver.
- Be able to think outside of the box, enjoy being challenged to
grow your skills, and not be afraid to step outside of your comfort

and measurable results.
- Constantly review data to identify meaningful trends while
recommending new initiatives to drive growth and optimization
across channels.
- Provide weekly reports to the team on key growth and conversion
metrics with clear takeaways and a plan of action on how to further
optimize these partners/funnels.
- Leverage data from our analytics platforms to define, analyze,
and communicate key cross-platform user metrics and behavioral
trends.
- Collaborate internally and externally, driving strong growth
through successful marketing strategies rooted in
data.Responsibilities:
- Expand the Ascent partner pipeline by identifying new
partnerships with new business classes (influencers, blogs/content
partners, school/campus organizations, etc.).
- Help manage our affiliate partner channels for rapid expansion
of the partner pipeline and regular monitoring of performance
(weekly).
- Monitor the competitive landscape and assess trends/seasonality
in campaigns and manage the competitive analysis update, reviews
audit, and partner audits.
- Support the content team as needed on social media campaigns
(Tik Toks, blogs, etc.) that encourage volume-driven initiatives
for college.
- Support the growth marketing team in keeping track of campaign
progress and partner relationships.
- Support monthly rate changes and program guideline changes with
partners. You could be a fit if you have:
- Passion for managing digital campaigns and acquiring customers
through affiliate networks, email marketing, and direct media
buys.
- Experience with social media and content creation.
- Exceptional strategic thinking skills and experience with web
analytics tools.
- Passionfor building and maintaining relationships through
excellent communication.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple
projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience applying brand concepts/guidelines in various forms
of content.
- Proven track record of developing and managing robust
dashboards.
- Strong attention to detail and solution-oriented.
- Exceptional creative and project management skills.
- General understanding of WordPress (or similar CMS) and Google
Analytics.
- Experience using affiliate platforms (like Commission Junction
or equivalent).Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with student loans or financial
services/products.
- Existing network of affiliates/platforms.
- Experience with Google Optimize, Google Data Studio.
- Google Analytics and/or Google AdWords certification.
