We're seeking a curious, creative problem solver with a collaborative work style. You'll collaborate with Designers, Production Artists, Producers and Marketers on a wide range of advertising mediums for both external and internal audiences. Expert understanding of advertising trends, deep understanding of the strategic creative process and engaging presentation skills are expected. - If you are located in Minnetonka, MN, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. This is a hybrid telecommute/in-office role based in Minnetonka, MN. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide copywriting support for Brand-focused initiatives and touchpoints
  • Work independently and as part of a creative team to concept, create and execute advertising and marketing communication programs
  • Develop content consistent with creative briefs, strategy and other inputs
  • Partner with other creatives to deliver compelling ideas
  • Ask thoughtful questions when receiving direction from creative leaders
  • Create and concept content that will tell our story in a compelling and concise manner consistent with Brand content and style guidelines, enterprise brand guidelines and health literacy programs
  • Collaborate with other Creative and Content team members and resources to ensure consistent administration of projects using the team's project and content management systems
  • Solve complex problems; identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Actively participate in creative briefings and decipher the needs of assignments
  • Timeliness is a must - deliver projects on schedule and manage multiple deadlines
  • Able to lead compelling and engaging presentations to leaders across the organization
  • Take direction from creative and marketing leadership to deliver assignments at their level of expectation
  • Create and inspire exceptional writing skills - understanding, mastering and developing the UnitedHealthcare brand voice Demonstrated Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are concise, candid and professional
    • Ability to write for all forms of media, including social channels and messaging platforms, digital, print, video, out of home, email, etc.
    • Ability to produce compelling writing with relatable, thoughtful and inclusive language
    • Solid strategic and critical thinking with ability to challenge status quo with new ideas
    • Ability to develop compelling marketing messages for a member/consumer audience
    • Ability to set clear direction and lead with confidence, conviction and presence
    • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and aggressive timelines
    • Proactive self-starter with solid desire to achieve results
    • Quick study, flexible and able to handle a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
    • Effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills

Required Qualifications: -
      • 7+ years advertising/marketing in either a corporate or agency environment; experience in B2C and B2B copywriting and content development for product/service marketing
      • Experience supporting B2C/B2B branding and multichannel campaigns with demonstrable expertise in digital content development
      • Experience with taking and synthesizing creative critique
      • Proficient with handling multiple assignments, self-manage and meet deadlines
      • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
      • Portfolio website with examples of work produced
      • Live within commutable distance to Minnetonka, MN -

        • Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Marketing, English or related field

        • Knowledgeable and passionate about health and wellness
        • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
