Job Description Job Description Estimator Growth oriented, and
family-owned service contractor has an opportunity for an
experienced Pre-Construction Estimator in this company that
services the construction industry. The rapid growth of our company
has created the demand for someone who can step in and immediately
estimate projects. If you are a self-starter, a team player, have a
professional attitude and willing to “own” the Estimating process
you will be successful with us. Essential Functions: Serve as the
primary point of contact during the estimating phase of each
project. Gather project requirements, clarify scope, and confirm
customer expectations before pricing. Accurate and timely
completion of material take-offs and labor estimates for jobs of
all types of construction projects. Update estimates as needed.
Communicate estimates, timelines, and scope details clearly to
ensure alignment prior to approval. Flag scope gaps, assumptions,
or conflicts before work begins to prevent rework and customer
dissatisfaction. Ensure approved projects are properly documented
and handed off to production/drafters without ambiguity. Reduce
customer complaints by ensuring scope, pricing, and expectations
are clearly established upfront. Support long-term customer
relationships by delivering predictable, professional estimating
and communication. Professional aptitude to attend job site
meetings and interact with customers, employees, subcontractors,
vendors, and project team members. Ensure that strict safety
standards are always followed. Read and interpret architectural
drawings and blueprints. Essential Qualifications: Three (3) years
of residential/commercial/industrial construction estimating
experience. Ability to gather information, clarify scope, and
communicate project details clearly and professionally. Thorough
knowledge of construction and remodeling methods and
implementation. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
and completeness in estimates. Proficient working with technical
information, drawings, and project requirements. Organized and
process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple estimates and
priorities at once. Clear written and verbal communication skills
to align customer expectations before work begins. Able to follow
defined procedures and use data or guidelines to support decisions.
Collaborative mindset, working effectively with internal team
members to resolve scope or pricing questions. Have a valid
driver’s license and personal vehicle for occasional travel to
local job sites. Although a leader in the industry we are small
