Credential 1. Appropriate California credential B. Education 1. Sufficient to meet credential requirements DESCRIPTION: Teacher will work under the supervision of the principal to implement and monitor interventions for at risk students in all subject areas with a focus in language arts and mathematics as part of the response to intervention model. Will be responsible for planning and organizing instruction for small groups utilizing data to ensure that students are succeeding and interventions are meeting student needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES Meet and plan with grade level teams to coordinate delivery of instruction and monitor student progress Coordinate with teachers on instructing and managing small groups during Intervention time within the classrooms Working with small groups independently or simultaneously with the classroom teacher Assist in ongoing monitoring of student progress using the response to intervention model Provide a wide variety of instructional resources related to children's needs including Leveled Literacy Intervention, Fountas & Pennell and DIBELS Work with teachers to develop use of systems to facilitate diagnosis, prescription, and evaluation of student progress (i.e. RTI) Assist in organizing effective program utilizing current campus resources and materials Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Experience working with English Language Learners utilizing SDAIE methods Effective Interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work as a team player Ability to design programs to meet individual needs Expertise in designing and implementing effective interventions ACCOUNTABILITY 1.
