We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Proposals Cost Estimating team, part of the larger Engineering Services group. With minimal direction, this position exercises considerable latitude. Responsible for the development of proposal cost estimates and the administration of ongoing projects. Manages reporting and project management responsibilities for assigned Engineering Services contracted efforts. Assignments are normally outlined in terms of broad objectives, possible results anticipated and critical reference points requiring special attention. May function in a project leadership role. Documents findings, communicates results to engineering staff, makes presentations, and may represent the organization as the prime contact on small identifiable projects. Provides direction to design or technical staff and may lead a team of moderately experienced professional staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Presents report(s) at engineering meetings, participates in program reviews and consults on problems.
• Anticipates future engineering needs and the modifications required to accomplish a goal.
• Participates in proposal kick-off meetings and determine if estimates are required from the Engineering Services Group.
• Act as Engineering Services POC for Gate 4 and 5 Proposal Process.
• Participate in IBRs and post-contract baseline reviews for assigned customer within Engineering Services.
• Develops and collaborates with estimators on proposal cost estimates for various Engineering Services teams.
• Acts as Project Control Administrator/Cost Account Manager (CAM) for one or more projects within the Engineering Services group.
• Works closely with engineers, program managers, project managers, project administrators, pricing, and program finance to gather data and information to manage assigned projects.
• Communicate progress and path forward with regard to cost, schedule, and technical risk of assigned Engineering Services to key project stakeholders.
• May represent Engineering Services during customer fact finding and other related proposal meetings.
• Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
• Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
