SummaryPosted: Nov 2, 2021Role Number: 200307171In this Power Technology Engineering Program Manager (EPM) role, you will handle projects involving the design, validation, and integration of innovative internal power supplies for world-renowned Apple products on Mac and Home. You will play a key part in providing Apple customers with the best user-experience in the industry by driving the development and deployment of next-generation wireless power technologies. The Power Tech team features a driven, team oriented environment working with creative, inquisitive people and deals with innovative technologies. Engineering excellence is expected and inspired.   • Technical background (electrical engineering is a plus) with knowledge of hardware technology development (2-3 years)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to formulate complex plans and execute to them
  • Driven, self-motivated, and proactive, works well in a fast paced environment
  • Program management experience or experience working with ODMs a plus
  • International travel may be requiredDescriptionCRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS: - Work cross-functionally with system teams to align on PSU requirements for their system - Based off the system needs, work with the Power Tech engineering team to define power supply design requirements, key technologies, cost/supplier strategy, and timeline - Outsourced design model - manage vendor design, validation, builds (readiness, clear to build, etc.), and deliverables - Manage internal validation of vendor design (planning/tracking), effectively communicate/escalate issues, drive failure analysis, and put together recovery plans - Establish effective and strong working relationships with internal and external teams DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES - Problem solver, driven - Engineering program management - New technology development - Power Technology/Systems - Electrical EngineeringEducation & ExperienceAdditional Requirements
