Title: Software Documentation and Technical Writer Date: 3.17.22 Location: Hybrid based in Carlsbad, CA (In Office and Remote) Job Type: Permanent, Full-time GLDS provides the leading customer management, billing, and service delivery software solutions for the broadband internet market. We---re a nimble company that---s light on talk, and heavy on action and we're looking to add an experienced Software Documentation / Tech Writer. Key objective is to write new documentation for our broadband customer management and billing software platform. Successful candidates will have significant experience with software documentation - bonus if your experience is in files created with Help and Manual. What you'll do Build, update and standardize software documentation and related help files for our billing, customer management and service delivery software. Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure clear, accurate documentation of product functionality. Work in a team environment with significant opportunities for input into a world-class product used by hundreds of broadband service providers worldwide. Work conditions include a gourmet kitchen and a distinctly "family" environment. What you'll have Minimum 5 years in a software documentation role. Strong project management, oral and written communication skills are essential. In-depth understanding of technical issues, software, computer architecture, and customer service practices and the ability to document the same. In-depth understanding of concepts related to the cable television, ISP, or broadband industries, or billing services, is highly desirable but not required. Software documentation experience is a requirement in order to be successful in this role. Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
