Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for evaluation and processing calibrated instruments for test and production utilization. Collaborates with process engineering, programs and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place for test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment. Familiar with EVMS, budgeting and Basis of Estimates. Devises and implements methods and procedures for evaluating equipment using vendor on site calibration (VOSCal) and collaboration with EAM NG Space Park to increase efficiency and reduce downtime. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs assessments using statistical analysis to develop affordable options and solutions using required standards and specifications. Maintains visibility for Equipment Performance Reporting, Lost Tool Reports, and tracking of instruments coming due. Working knowledge of Asset Smart, Metrology System, and Test Equipment Asset Management (TEAMMS) Quality Dashboard. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and effective corrections are in place. May specialize in the areas of design, product evaluation and reliability, research and development as they apply to calibration, production and process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.Basic Qualifications for a Principal Quality Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • 5+ years of Quality related experience (3+ years with a Master's degree).
  • Strong interpersonal skills - including ability to establish and maintain positive working relationship with stakeholders and customers at all levels, ranging from conversations on the shop floor through briefing senior management
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001, etc...)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 and internal auditing.Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Quality Engineer:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM discipline, Master's degree preferred
    • 9+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or related field in support of high reliability product development, manufacture, test, delivery, and post-delivery support.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
    • Demonstrated ability to multitask and technically lead a team of hardware and program quality engineers.
    • Worked in support of in an ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System Environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate with external customers and senior management presenting and defending the quality engineering effort
    • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutionsPreferred Qualifications
      • Current DoD Secret or above clearance
      • Experience with military electronics manufacturing, J Std-001 soldering and IPC 610 experience
      • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or Auditor is a plus - Experience with SAP and MES is a plus
      • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma, Green belt certification would be a plus Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD Salary Range 2: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
