Job LocationSan Diego, CA (Onsite with possible
occasional/part-time telecommuting) Minimal domestic travel

Job DescriptionGALT Aerospace is seeking a talented Electrical
Engineer to perform all Electronic Systems Design related to
Communication Mission Payload System Development and Installation
Design onto the Platform. -This includes: development, test, and
integration of complex airborne communications systems and
supporting electronic hardware systems. This individual would act
as a responsible design engineer (RDE) on hardware for multiple
systems and programs. -The candidate will be responsible for
electronic hardware development including: architecture design,
Comm & RF systems analysis, detailed electrical system design,
performing customer briefings/reviews, hardware test, site
integration, and post-delivery support. -The candidate will work
closely with other engineering functions in a team environment,
including: Flight Engineering, Systems Engineering, Product
Engineering, Software Engineering, Production, Procurement, and
Program Management to meet schedule and technical performance
requirements. - -The ideal candidate has a broad range of
experience with design, integration, and test of at least one or
more of the following: - -System and Platform level Electronic
design, development, test, and integration - -Communications System
-Analysis, design, development, test, platform integration and
post-delivery support - -RF Analysis, Link Budgets, Cascade
Analysis, Cosite Analysis, Antenna specification/selection, and RF
Electronics Design - -Airborne Power Systems and payload
integration - -Compose and present design reviews for internal and
external customers - -Develop TDP (Tech Data) and performance data
packages -Required Skills, Experience, and Educationo - -Bachelor's
Degree in Electrical or related STEM degree -from an accredited
institution o - -10+ years of experience in a related Engineering
Environmento - -Military &/or Aircraft related Electrical
System Design and I&T experienceo - -U.S. Citizenship requiredo
- -Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD)
personnel security clearance required
Preferred Skills, Experience and Educationo - -Familiar with
Military Communications LOS Waveforms, including: Link-16, TTNT,
CDL, BE-CDL, Chaotic waveforms, ANW-2, TSM-X, etc.o - -Familiar
with SATCOM BLOS Waveforms, including: WGS, DVB-S2, PTW, Iridium,
Inmarsat, Starlink, etc.o - -Design and test experience in comm
systems / RF technologyo - -RF Systems Analysis and RF measuremento
- -Integration of various Military radios on an airborne platformo
- -Airborne Wiring, Cabling, Electrical Power
Conversion-Conditioning and Distribution: including EMI-EMC
ramificationso - -Familiar with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810,
MIL-STD-704, DO-160, MIL-HDBK-516o - -Excellent written and verbal
communication skillso - -Advanced studies / Degree in a STEM areao
- -Active DOD Secret, TS/SCI, or SSBI clearance -Physical
RequirementsMust be able to sit or stand for 1 hour at a time. Must
