Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA. The Project Engineer will be responsible for: --- Managing earned value cost and schedule performance metrics, updating and maintaining Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks, supporting IPT Leads with programmatic reporting, cost account management, and business management requirements. --- Research, design, development and test of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including RF datalinks and SATCOM --- Maintaining complex RF communications architectures, systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers. --- Reporting COMMs status to Program Managers and IPT Management. The selected candidate should be a self-starter and thrive working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, engaged in assignments across multiple engineering disciplines, within a collaborative/team setting on all levels of the organization. Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of STEM related experience OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline.
--- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
--- Up to 50% travel. Preferred Qualifications: --- Cost Account Management (CAM) training and/or certification --- RF and digital system design & analysis
--- Antenna theory and operation
--- COMMS Wideband and Narrowband integration and testing
--- MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, MIL-STD-6016
--- Airborne platform radio integration
--- System Performance Verification
--- Component Qualifications for Flight
--- Networking/Cyber
--- System Engineering Salary Range: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
