Description Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities POWER
Engineers is currently seeking a senior level electrical engineer
-to work -as a Substation Project Engineer in the Power Delivery
Substation Department of our -San Diego, California -office.
Flexibility is available to work remotely and/or in the office.

Responsibilities
- Grow and manage relationships with -local clients.
- Mentor less experienced staff in substation project
execution.
- Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to
extra high voltage utility substations including o ne-line
diagrams, three line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, elementary and
wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable
sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of
substation equipment, writing of substation equipment
specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates,
and project scheduling.
- Ensure POWER quality procedures are followed and that the team
is resourced in an optimal manner.
- Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients across multiple
offices.
- Manage all schedule, budget, and quality of assigned projects.
Required Education/Experience
- BSEE (BS in Electrical Engineering) -or BSEET (BS in Electrical
Engineering Technology) -degree, from an accredited university
preferably with a power option.
- Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to obtain
within one year.
- Experience in 15kV through 345kV physical and electrical
substation design, and IEEE/ANSI standards.
- Experience in managing -5 or more -people on a project
team.
- Experience filling the role of project engineer for several
projects occurring concurrently.
- The candidate must have strong command of the English language
with good written and oral communication skills in order to work
effectively with internal team members and external client
personnel.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in
the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship. Desired
Education/Experience
- Ten -or more years experience in utility substation design is
preferred.
- Experience with and established positive relationships with
local clients.
- Experience in 345kV through 500 kV substation design. Salary
DOE. The pay range for this position is $95k to $120k per year;
however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the
candidate's job related knowledge, skills, and experience. This
figure does not include additional compensation such as health
