We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr Principal Embedded
Engineer based out of San Diego, Ca. As an Embedded Engineer at
Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding

At the Northrop Grumman San Diego campus our Advanced Digital
Design organization creates the next generation of communications
and signal processing systems and will take ideas from concept to
working systems aboard the world's most advanced platforms right
here in always-sunny San Diego. We design in our campus of labs and
on-site advanced manufacturing just minutes from the beach and
everything for which southern California is famous. It's work that
matters and a career that can takes you places. We seek degreed
electrical or computer engineering engineers with hands-on
experience in FPGA Design and Verification with VHDL.
What you will get to do:
Designs, develops, operates and maintains software and firmware
components and computing systems software to be applied to and
integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing
requirements
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools
throughout the system development life cycle to support the
generation of such engineering applications and products such as
laboratory simulation systems, aircraft and ground radios,
electronic warfare jammers, mechanical and electrical systems.
Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other
technical and support personnel.
This position will require onsite work however for this role we are
able to offer flexible work arrangements and some remote work will
be possible.
Basic Qualifications
Sr. Principal Embedded Software Engineer
9 years relevant experience with BS in STEM discipline; 7 Years of
relevant experience with a Masters STEM discipline; 7 Years of
relevant experience with a PHD in STEM discipline
Experience in developing embedded, real-time software using
C/C++.
Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time
embedded applications
Clearance: Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to
obtain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with tools such as Rhapsody, GreenHills MULTI Integrated
Development Environment, DOORS and ClearCase/ClearQuest
Tactical Data Links (Link 16, VMF, MADL).
Open Mission System (OMS) Architecture
Experience with GreenHills Integrity
Avionics Operating Systems
Digital Signal Processing
LabVIEW
Salary Range: $129,700.00 - $194,500.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
