assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or
restrict the tasks that may be assigned.The OT Network Engineer II
will provide engineering level support in the design, development,
and commissioning of the network infrastructure for SOLV Energy's
EPC/O&M SCADA solutions. This position is open to hybrid
options (remote/In office), but must be able to provide hands-on
support of OCC infrastructure.Position Responsibilities and
Duties:Support and collaborate with the SCADA Engineering team on
project design deliverables and technical submittals.Configure,
test, and commission SCADA networks including but not limited to
VPN connections, cell modems, firewalls, router, network switches,
end devices, and fiber ring networks.Generate project closeout
documentation including network commissioning documents, network
architecture diagrams, access control lists, firewall rules,
as-built drawings, and training materials.Support project
coordination activities with plant operators, utility and ISO, and
cyber security teams to support network design, configuration, and
commissioning.Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and
field technicians for on-site commissioning and installation
support.Maintain networking technical expertise to support SCADA
Engineering, OCC Operators, and NERC Compliance program needs.Work
with telecommunications personnel (Verizon, ATT and others) to
commission and troubleshoot telecommunications circuit issues as
required.Work with project management to report project status,
risks, and mitigation measures.Promote and adhere to a culture of
NERC compliance and governance with respect to programming and
commissioning standards, documentation, reporting, knowledge
transfer and training.Follow change control management policies and
procedures.Support facility integration and VPN tunnel creation for
our Operations and Control Center.Complete other assignments as
assigned.Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:Bachelor's
degree in Information Technology or related engineering field -
Preferred but not required.Minimum 3+ years of verifiable work
experience in the Information Technology field as a field network
engineer.Experience working in Renewable Energy Industry working
with industrial control system networking and common communication
protocols (OPC, DNP3, Modbus, etc.) preferred.At least one
Certification in Cisco, Palo-Alto, CompTIA Network+ or other
networking technologies.Experience working with various equipment
including but not limited to; Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls,
Dell PowerEdge Servers, Cradlepoint cellular modems, SFP modules,
others.Demonstrate proficient knowledge of WAN, LAN and VPN
networks, including the relationship between network infrastructure
and IP enabled devices.Demonstrate proficient knowledge of TCP/IP
switching and routing.Demonstrate knowledge of Ethernet cabling,
single mode, and multimode fiber optic design standards and
applications.Proficient knowledge of Authentication and Access
Control.Proficient in the configuration and standup of VPN tunnels,
VPN administration, and connectivity support.Basic knowledge of
virtual and physical server architecture and networking.Knowledge
of SCADA systems and their interaction with a network, including
Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and SCADA Platforms
and historization.Knowledge of the OSI model and applying it to
systematic troubleshooting and problem resolution.SOLV Energy Is an
