Job Description:

A DevOps Engineer in the Cloud Tools & Automation department enables teams to move fast with confidence so they can continuously add value for the customer. -They will work closely with engineering teams and operations teams to automate processes and improve efficiency. -The engineer will develop libraries and patterns for reuse and provide guidance to the engineering department on best practices for automation and continuous integration. -A successful engineer will be proactive, interactive, creative, and flexible. -They will need to learn and understand the entire Verimatrix product suite and work with engineering teams on a variety of products and technologies. -We are a global company and appreciate people with global awareness and knowledge.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- - - - -Automate processes to streamline application development
- - - - -Enable engineering teams to automate manual efforts such as building, testing, and deploying
- - - - -Support operations team in automating operational tasks such as resource management, cost management, and monitoring
- - - - -Build and maintain tools and libraries for application development, continuous integration / continuous deployment, and systems operations
- - - - -Coach engineering teams on reusable code, tools, and patterns
- - - - -Keep up to speed with industry best practices and trends in DevOps & Engineering
- - - - -Become an expert at AWS serverless architecture
- - - - - Participate in the creation of new technology infrastructure - - - Collaborate with distributed teams around the world

Required Qualifications:
- - - - -Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in related field
- - - - -Coding & Scripting experience, ex: Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js - - - - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- - - - -Solid understanding of Linux and networking concepts
- - - - -Solid understanding of source control management (git)
- - - - -Experience with public cloud systems like AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
- - - - -Attention to detail, responsiveness, commitment to efficiency and automation.Preferred Qualifications:
- - - - -Experience maintaining infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation or similar)
- - - - -Experience with test automation and test-driven development
