Job Description:

• Mostly work from home/remote! Infrequent office visits to San Diego monthly
• 5 year W2 contract, 40+ hours weekly with weekly pay and overtime pay
• Must live within 2 hours of San Diego, CA or be willing to commute 2x a month
  
  
  Must-haves * Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering * 5-10 years of engineering experience (mechanical, manufacturing, industrial ok) * Proficiency in Solid Modelling such as Solidworks, Pro-E, or Catia. Siemens NX preferred * 1-5 years experience in factory layout or machine configuration, machine serviceability, safety assessments, industrial plant layout * Experience interfacing with a facilities department Plusses * Previous experience working in the Semiconductor industry Day-to-Day A company in San Diego is looking for a mechanical engineer who will focus on factory layout. This individual's primary responsibility will be to work in Siemens NX to piece together modules and design the layout of the factory. This role can be offered as a work from home position with seldom requirements to come onsite to the office in San Diego for measurements, testing, safety and placement assessments. * Assists in project planning including key deliverables, timeline, and budget. * Works with other Engineers and CAD Designers to provide system-level design organization in the factory setting * Supports driving full documentation of design including, BOM, drawings, and procedures. * Interacts closely with development engineers, scientists, suppliers, and QA to resolve quality issues. * Performs other duties as assigned.
