Enjoy a diverse, collaborative environment with professionals across the nation ready to help launch your career.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Communications Electronics Responsible Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.The Sr Principal Comms Electronics Engineer will be responsible for:--- Research, design, development, integration, and test of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including RF datalinks, SATCOM and Communications Networks.--- Maintaining complex RF communications architectures, systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers.--- Reporting Comms status to Program Managers and IPT Management.--- Primary Responsible Engineer for complex communications subsystem, supplier technical interface, and focal IPT representative for integration support.The selected candidate should be a self-starter and thrive working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, engaged in assignments across multiple engineering disciplines, within a collaborative/team setting on all levels of the organization.Qualified candidates should be prepared to research, design, develop, integrate, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radio and other communications equipment and network systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.Basic Qualifications Sr Principal Comms Electronics Engineer (T04):--- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 7 years of STEM related experience OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 year of STEM related experience.--- Active DoD Secret security clearance with ability to upgrade to Top Secret.--- Availability of 20% regional travel.Preferred Qualifications:--- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks--- Familiar with current network products and technologies such as routers, firewalls, and switches--- RF and digital system design & analysis--- Antenna theory and operation--- COMMS Wideband and Narrowband integration and testing--- MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, MIL-STD-6016 familiarity--- Airborne platform radio integration--- System Performance Verification--- Component Qualifications for Flight--- System Engineering, Requirements DerivationSalary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USDSalary Range 2: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
