Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a RFIC Test Engineer.Position Type: Direct HireDuration: Full TimeLocation: San Diego, CA 92123 (Onsite)As a(n) RFIC Test Engineer you will:Major purpose: The wireless RFIC team architects, designs, and validates radio transceivers integrated into complex wireless SoCs.Innovative development in transceiver design while working closely with RFIC and product teams.Major functions: Design test plan, test fixture, and characterization setup.Design test PCB with power supply, test point, and calibration.Run bench test and debug of RF SoC IP including transmitters, receivers, PLL, power amplifiers, ADC/DAC, crystal oscillators, and PMU.Debug chip level or board level de-sense and EMI issues.Write scripts using a build-up environment to automate measurements.Perform RF system characterization measuring EVM, spectral mask, phase noise, sensitivity, and other radio parameters.Design external matching networks to optimize Tx/Rx radio performance. - Generate RF design/verification/test report.Collaborate with RF systems and integration teams on RF board layout, test interface methodology and programming sequence, and RF calibration programming.Synchronize radio register settings between simulation environment and test environment.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.Technical/Functional skills: Scripting and debugging knowledge in any of the following: Python, Perl, C++, or equivalent.Strong RF and Analog circuit design background and familiarity with RF systems fundamentals (S parameter, matching, EM structure)Working knowledge of RF test equipment (network Analyzer, spectrum Analyzer, vector signal analyzer, vector signal generator, calibration, de-embedding, in-fixture calibration, etc.)Good knowledge on RF, phased-array antenna, PLL, and general wireless systems measurements (i.e., IP3, NF, ACPR, phase noise, lock time, etc.)Experience of RF PCB board design, debug, and developmentExperience with HFSS, Altium or AllegroEducation/Experience/Licenses etc.:Master of Engineering degree required.
