Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Industrial Stormwater/Wastewater
Engineer. This is a remote based role.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited
to:
Research, review, and analyze water quality policy and
regulations.
Lead regulatory compliance tasks relating to stormwater and
wastewater management.
Prepare and review Water Quality Management Plans, which
communicate stormwater and wastewater regulations affecting the
management of water sources at a facility.
Prepare and review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans
(SWPPPs).
Review and assess compliance methodologies employed at a facility
and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk
of non-compliance.
Mentor and supervise junior staff while managing tasks of varying
sizes and complexity.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field plus 6 years of
relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience
and/or education.
Nationwide travel (50% of the time)
A valid Driver's license is required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of engineering experience focused on water quality
compliance.
P.E. license is highly desired for this role.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
that implement the Clean Water Act.
Experience reviewing and/or writing Spill Prevention Countermeasure
Control (SPCC) Plans
Mentorship Experience
Experience consulting DOD clients
Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.
Basic knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD software.
Knowledge of DOD management practices as they relate to
environmental compliance.
Strong focus and attention to detail
Additional Information
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
Offered rate of compensation ([California locations only) will be
based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work
location. The salary range for this position is $80,000 -
$129,000.00.
