Position Details:
Title: Test Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA
Shift: Day Shift
Compensation: $100-$120

Position Description:
The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, specifying, directing, and documenting new production packages, ensuring that both internal standards and customer specific requirements are met. The Test Engineer will be challenged to create innovative solutions to problems, by supplying technical leadership and expertise.

--- Provides detailed technical engineering support for test technicians and shop floor assembly personnel in their assigned Value Stream.
--- Actively participates in the troubleshooting and correction of all product/project issues discovered in the CS, providing documentation and feedback on these issues to the appropriate internal organizations.
--- Responsible for coordinating test facility improvements and updates.

Requirements:
--- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related degree.
--- 5-7 years of experience.
--- This individual should possess a fundamental knowledge of gas turbine theory, a thorough understanding of standard engineering principles and Solar diverse product lines.

Preferred Qualifications:
--- 3 years involving controls, electrical and mechanical systems.
--- Detailed knowledge of the design, manufacturing, and operation of turbo-machinery products.
--- Self-starter, willing to work as required to support production schedules, and be able to perform the position functions with minimal supervision and guidance, as well as part of a team.
--- Excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to maintain liaison with engineering and manufacturing groups, as well as project management and customers.
