Process Engineering Assistant (Intern)Position Summary:Catalent
Pharma Solutions is hiring a Process Engineering Assistant
(Intern), on our San Diego, CA team. Through guided mentorship, the
Student Intern program offers students a fun and stimulating
environment to gain lab experience and exposure to pharmaceutical
chemistry development. Lab Assistants in Process Engineering will
have exposure to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Manufacturing
and use many principles of engineering.**This is a PART TIME, PAID,
YEAR-ROUND student internship, and all students are required to
commit 15-20 hours per week (NOTE: bachelor's degree graduates will
not be considered). To be considered for this San Diego-based

responsibilities)
- Assist in experimentation and development activities under the
supervision of a full-time pharmaceutical process engineer or
chemist.
- Document experiments in development batch records under the
supervision of a full-time engineer.
- May perform routine experiments without supervision.
- Setup, breakdown, and cleaning of designated equipment and
laboratory glassware.
- Perform maintenance on designated equipment and generate
purchase orders for supplies/equipment.
- Work with engineering team to troubleshoot and maintain
manufacturing/laboratory equipment.
- Learn and comply with all cGMP practices in use at Catalent San
Diego.
- All duties performed in compliance with SOPs (Standard
Operating Procedures).
- All other duties as assigned.The Candidate (requirements)
- Must currently be a full time (ideally second year) Engineering
student. Chemical Engineering majors preferred.
- Completion of college level science lab and familiarity with
basic lab equipment is required.--Basic knowledge of chemistry and
statistics is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and proactively utilize critical thinking
skills is required.
- Requires the ability to work in a regulated environment
(GMP/FDA/DEA/OSHA) and strictly follow procedures. Ability to read,
write, and comprehend reports, technical and cGMP documents as well
as correspondence.
- A team player with a positive attitude and able to take
initiative. Superior attention to detail, safety, quality, and
customer requirements is critical.
- Availability to work 15-20 hours a week during the hours of
8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (no exceptions).

Assistance is NOT available for this position. ONLY local

- Physical Requirements: On an average day this position requires
the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel,
reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below
waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
talk and hear, smell and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision
requirements including reading of written documents, visual
inspection of materials and use of computer monitor screen
frequently.--- Pay:
- The annual pay range for this position in San Diego, CA is
$17-20/hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may
vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but
are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the
job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset,
education, business needs, etc.-- Catalent is a multi-state
