Equipment MechanicContract Duration 6+ MonthsPay rate up to $27.50/hrJob DescriptionOur client is seeking an Equipment Mechanic 2 responsible for implementing and maintaining an engineering change order system including product improvements, repairs, and new product release.A typical day looks like (daily tasks)The Equipment Mechanic will be performing repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on filling and packaging equipment.Duties & Responsibilities:Equipment Mechanic performs scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance on lyophilizers, liquid fillers, labeling equipment, packaging equipment, water system equipment, and filtration.Performs troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems on manufacturing equipment.Interacts with vendors to solve problems, determine part costs, and purchase parts.Diagnose and repair low-voltage DC and AC electrical wiring/hardwareHas solid knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Maintains equipment shop tools, equipment, and organizationEquipment Mechanic writes procedures, documents, and reports.Travel between various client facilities for equipment maintenanceMust be able to work weekends or other shifts on occasion.Performs other various tasks and duties as assignedQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:Solid understanding of using various hand tools, multimeters, pneumatic, and electrical power tools.Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.Awareness of applicable mechanical, electrical, and biological safety guidelines and standards.Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment problems.Knowledge of Windows-based computer systems.Knowledge of microprocessor and automation controls.Must have a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license to support multiple facilitiesAbility to operate mills, lathes, drill presses, and power saws for the fabrication of machine partsDetailed-oriented with strong verbal and written communicationAbility to articulate information to coworkers and vendorsAbility to lift 50 lbs.Experience in a GMP environment preferredEducation and Experience:Typically requires High school, Trade school, or Military and 2-4 years related experience or AA.Preferred background/prior work experienceHas worked in a GMP environment.Priority soft skills CommunicationBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout The Company:Our client is an innovative medical technology company whose purpose is to enable healthier lives everywhere, every day.
