Network Engineer. In this role, you will be at the forefront of
implementing robust, scalable, and highly available network
solutions. We are looking for a Network specialist with experience
in network architecture, implementation, and operations. The PE
Network specialists are at the forefront of implementing robust and
advanced network infrastructure across a multi-region private
cloud. The PE Network specialist will work closely with Site
Reliability Engineering (SRE) members as well as specialists from
the Operations, Platform DevOps, and Security teams to architect,
implement, evolve, and maintain the next generation Platform
Engineering network.Our organization provides an enterprise grade
engineering development environment so engineers can rapidly
experiment and prototype new technologies. Your responsibility
extends beyond solving existing problems; it's about anticipating
and addressing future capacity, demand, and technological needs. We

Responsibilities:
- Engineering and Design
- Architect and build complex multi-site, multi-tenant networks,
which enforce traffic segregation and isolation
- Define and execute service outages, changes, disaster recovery
plans, reference architectures, incident root causes, and best
practices
- Maintain current documentation for network infrastructure and
architecture
- Operations and support
- Leverage network orchestration technologies like Juniper Apstra
or Cisco vManage
- Install, configure, maintain, and decommission data center
networking infrastructure
- Use routing protocols like BGP or OSPF to interconnect
networks, and to build highly available datacenter services
- Operate in a mixed hardware environment, working with diverse
product vendors
- Incident Response
- Actively participate in incident response and root-cause
analysis and support a blameless post-mortem culture
- Proactively troubleshoot complex issues that arise on the
development and interconnected networks
- Automation
- Automate network operations, to increase efficiency, enforce
standard configurations, and ensure repeatability with tools like
Ansible, Terraform, or Python
- Work in a DevOps style automation pipelinePlease note that
pursuant to a government contract, the specific positions requires
US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Professional Skills
- Must be able to obtain a Security+ or equivalent security
certification within 6 months of starting
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex network
problems in a production environment
- Ability to independently research solutions to problems and
propose viable solutions
- Ability to work with multiple teams to accomplish complex
tasks
- Comfortable working with multiple vendors in a heterogeneous
environmentTechnical skills
- Familiarity with at least one on-premises virtualization
platform (i.e., VMware, OneStack, Azure Stack)
- Experience with LAN switching technologies such as VLANS,
spanning tree, and ether-channel
- Capable of configuring network routing protocols such as Static
OSPF & BGP
- Experience working with data center network technologies, such
as DMZs, high availability, and spine-leaf fabrics
- Comfortable with Firewall routing, policy, and inspection
- Experience with various WAN technologies such as MPLS and
Ethernet
- Familiarity with configuring and managing NAT devices
- Experience with IP-Sec VPNs and GREPreferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Security + or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with networking requirements for high performance
storage systems
- Experience with network virtualization and SD-WAN
- A basic knowledge of programming languages like Python
- Understand EVPN-VXLAN overlay architectures
- Experience with VMware network architectures
- Use of data center orchestration technologies such as
Apstra
- Familiarity with multicast and anycast technologiesPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
