Role Overview This role supports the development of small gas
turbine engines through analysis and simulation, contributing to
energy-dense designs that deliver performance according to program
inputs. Engineers in this role operate across the concept and
simulation portion of the development stack, ensuring analytical
work directly supports hardware decisions, manufacturability, and
scalability. The position is suited for engineers with depth in
CFD, FEM, component analysis, or related analytical disciplines,
working in close coordination with design, test, and manufacturing
teams. Multiple engineering positions are available across the
propulsion organization. This role represents the analysis-focused
contribution within a dynamic development environment. Range of
Responsibilities Support engine development from concept through
test via analysis and simulation Perform aerodynamic and
thermodynamic analysis to evaluate engine and component designs
Conduct structural analysis, fatigue modeling, and life estimation
for turbomachinery components Support the definition and evaluation
of components through analytical methods Iterate with other
engineers and manufacturing to optimize system performance
Contribute to rapid development cycles supporting
prototype-to-production transitions Qualifications Bachelor’s
degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Minimum 4–6
years of experience in gas turbine design, jet engine development,
or high-speed rotating machinery Experience in one or more areas of
rotating assembly design, CFD, FEA, or rotor dynamics Experience
with relevant materials, alloys, and manufacturing methods used in
turbomachinery Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools such as
ANSYS, STAR-CCM, Concepts NREC, SolidWorks, or NX Preferred
Experience Experience with small gas turbines, turbojets, or
related propulsion systems Background supporting UAS or
experimental propulsion programs Familiarity with turbomachinery
analysis tools (e.g., Concepts NREC, AxStream) Familiarity with
turbine cycle analysis (NPSS) Experience supporting development
programs that combine analysis with real hardware testing Benefits
