As a member of pSemi's Technology Development Organization this individual will drive the development, characterization and qualification of process technology for power management applications. The Staff Engineer will work closely with pSemi power management product development groups and our foundry partners to deliver best in class power semiconductor technology.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:



  • Defining with product development teams the device level key performance indicators for power management applications
  • Developing power transistor characterization methodology
  • Driving device optimization at foundry partners
  • Characterization of active and passive devices, including intrinsic reliability
  • Addressing all aspects of technology readiness, including manufacturability and reliability

      Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)



      • 6 years' experience in similar role within semiconductor industry
      • In depth understanding of semiconductor device physics, with a focus on high voltage and power devices
      • Familiar with CMOS processes, device characterization and IC design
      • Good data analysis, problem solving, and communication skills
      • Experience with TCAD 2D/3D process and device simulation tools

        Preferred Qualifications



        • Familiar with Cadence Layout tools, Assura DRC/LVS
        • Familiar with DC/AC device characterization equipment (parametric analyzer, TLP, LCR meter, oscilloscope) and probe-station
        • Ability to work in cross functional teams.
        • Experience with ESD protection

          Education Requirements



          • Master's degree in Electrical Engineer; PhD preferred
