worldwide. We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Director of
Business Management to join our GA-EMS team located in Rancho
Bernardo, CA. This position typically reports to the Chief
Operating Officer and is responsible for proposal/offer
development, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development, Earned
Value Management (EVM) oversight, financial strategic planning, as
well as the management and coordination of all operational aspects
for an organization to ensure business and financial objectives are
met. In support of these activities, responsible for the following
departments: Proposal Management, Cost Engineering, Master
Planning, Program Controls, Internal Communications, Business
Administration, Training, and San Diego Facilities and Telcom
Management. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Translates business
priorities into implementable actions to achieve strategic goals.
Identifies and assesses high level operational issues and consults
with all levels of management to negotiate and develop solutions
which meet planning schedules, quality objectives, and policies and
procedures of the organization. Determines customer requirements
and translates these requirements into organizational plans.
Typically accomplishes objectives through subordinate management.
May be responsible for decisions that have significant impact on
overall success of the business where erroneous decisions could
cause substantial expenditure of resources. Oversee the development
and management of operational plans, budgets, and schedules as well
as oversee and direct the coordination of all operational aspects
for an organization. Lead efforts to develop and improve operations
through effective integrated processes, implementing common
management processes/services to use organizational resources
efficiently and effectively. Serve as liaison between
program/project management, project teams and administrative
service departments on matters of high importance. Oversee
development and management of operating procedures that are aligned
with the strategic business and administrative objectives of the
organization. Conduct operational reviews of cost and service
structures, productivity measures and delivery methods to achieve
planned targets. Oversee the development of mechanisms for
monitoring progress and for problem solving with program managers,
project teams, and administrative services departments while
developing solutions to meet budget, schedule, quality objectives,
and company policies and procedures. Maintain strict
confidentiality of sensitive information. Ensure all laws,
regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever
and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in
accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
