SunIRef:Manu Duties Summary You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the ORDNANCE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NMC CWD DET PT LOMA. Responsibilities You will receive and review incoming requisitions. You will provide detailed technical advice and assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management. You will analyze and coordinate layouts of warehouses, sheds, magazines, and outside storage areas. You will produce reports on space utilization, storage capabilities, space availability, and storage compatibility. You will determine the most efficient and economical rates and routes for the movement of freight. Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing supply support using an ordnance inventory management database system and freight scheduling. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications ( Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Education may be substituted as follows: Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree Or Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree. Or Have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled. Or Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
