Functional Description/Track: Professional Individual Contributor: Designs and executes brand strategies for the company and identifies new opportunities for assigned products, product lines, lines of business, or on a company-wide campaign basis. Responsible for brand-level development including market analysis, product acquisitions, and brand management. Manages marketing materials to establish product branding and messaging. Develops and implements product education, publication and other promotional activities to communicate product positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers. Applies consumer insight and market research to determine new marketing and product opportunities. May work in partnership with cross-functional teams in linking the brand to efforts by marketing, product marketing, marketing communications or other departments or units within the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops relationships through regularly scheduled in person meetings to gain understanding of customer needs and partner on specific promotional opportunities
  • Analyze market data and identify critical market trends/opportunities across all channels to inform tactical development.
  • Responsible executing key trade promotional tactics to increase brand awareness
  • Will also provide relevant insights and strategic/tactical direction pertaining for new product launches
  • Responsible for collaborating with key internal partners (payer, brand marketing, sales, finance, and pricing/contracting) to ensure plan alignment
  • Contributes to the annual Market Access business plan based on market definition, segmentation, and targeting.
  • Leads key aspects of tactical implementation, including timelines, creation of promotional materials, and training of internal stakeholders and field-based professionals.
  • Works with finance to monitor spending against budget/forecast.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of tactics, including development of program success metrics, evaluation criteria, feedback mechanisms and return-on-investment analysis.
  • Interacts with key internal stakeholders to ensure strategies and tactics are linked to achievement of critical business objectives. Key internal stakeholders include Sales, Finance, Regulatory, Sales, Market Access, Training, and Operations.
  • Manages agency relationships. Selects vendors for Trade programs and projects. Builds effective working relationships with key external customers, including thought leaders.
  • Candidate must possess strong organization skills to enable smooth interactions between multiple parties (external and internal)
  • Must be able to estimate, negotiate and adhere to a proper and reasonable budget according to the specifications of each tradeshow.
  • Must maintain a professional presence and ability to present in front of Executive Leadership.
  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:

      • Advanced knowledge of the company, the products related to it, the company's overall vision, corporate objectives, and customers.
      • Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Marketing experience (Brand, Payer, or Trade)
      • Life Sciences experience with a product dispensed through retail pharmacy Functional/Business Knowledge:
        • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
        • Demonstrates further technical development and a track record of project success
        • Demonstrates an ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
        • Considered a specialist in the field within the function Scope:
          • Assists in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
          • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
          • Networks with senior internal and external colleagues in own area of expertise. Judgement:
            • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
            • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Experience and Education Requirements:
              • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 - 8 years of related experience. Travel Required :
                • 25 to 50% Language Skills:--Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
