We currently have a unique opportunity for a Senior Global Procurement Manager which may be based at either GIA's headquarters in Carlsbad, California or our New York location. We are a cohesive team and this will be a multi-faceted procurement role with opportunities to add value across multiple functions and regions. Since this will be a transformational role with an objective to enhance value, especially in the areas of Information Technology procurement, it is preferred to have experience in IT procurement (though other backgrounds are also encouraged) and a foundational knowledge of negotiating contracts with optimal business terms. It is essential that this role has a strong relationship and collaborates effectively with our CIO and IT leadership team, as well as working in partnership with other areas and projects across GIA's multi-national locations. GIA is in the process of implementing an enhanced global contract management system to which this role will be instrumental in further elevating the contract management and negotiation elements of the procurement cycle. As a Senior Global Procurement Manager, you will develop and lead the execution of sourcing strategies and projects for the assigned categories as well as be accountable for strategic sourcing of Global IT, including but not limited to Hardware, Software, Cloud solutions and services and IT professional services as well as Corporate Services (Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance & Travel). This role will work closely with IT, corporate & regional functional leaders to develop sourcing strategies and manage high-level supplier relationships with major IT & corporate suppliers and consultancies. The Senior Global Procurement Manager will be responsible for delivering against key performance metrics as well as coordinating supplier management activities and supplier compliance activities for assigned suppliers. Suppliers may be global and/or regional in nature and may span multiple sites. The role will be responsible for the development, communication and approval of sourcing strategies, collecting and providing business requirements and supply market information and supply practices within the assigned categories. You will have the opportunity to:

• Work on strategy development and project management
• Lead supplier identification, negotiations and supplier relationships
• Work closely with IT, finance and operations teams to drive project initiatives against strategy and plan
• Compile specifications and business requirements to develop bid packages for competitive events
• Regularly monitor and analyze market, competitive data, pricing trends to identify bid or negotiation opportunities You will excel in this role if---

    • B.A. or B.S. degree is required (MBA/MA preferred) - preferably in Business, Finance, IT, Supply Chain or related field
    • 7+ years of professional experience in the procurement discipline, ideally in a global organization
    • Experience in IT sourcing space within the last 2-3 years
    • Experience in licensing agreements, MSAs and SOWs
    • Up to date and knowledgeable about cloud software solutions, especially Workday, Scout, Suplari and/or Icertis.
