Job Description:

This position is responsible for leading and execution of all daily operations of the warehouse and logistics activities at the Depot. The DM will oversee Depot activities including inventory management, order pick, pack & fulfillment, drivers, scheduling and assist in hitting company and territory specific goals. Working with a team of 2-5 direct reports, the DM will oversee management of depot staff, supervisors, & inventory personnel to maximize performance of the Depot. The DM will lead weekly Production Meetings to review operating results, plan for future schedules and coordinate with functional leads. Responsibilities include: --- DEPOT STAFF: Drive performance of high functioning Depot personnel, including goals setting, staffing levels and smooth daily operating rhythm. Maximize effectiveness of order fulfillment team and key managers & supervisors. --- INVENTORY MGMT: Oversee an inventory function including procurement, shipping, receiving and recording the movement of stock from various suppliers. Monitor and provide direction to Inventory Manager on appropriate levels of stock and strategize acceleration of inventory movements when needed. --- CASH CONTROL(S): Maintain cash security and controls. Secure intake, record, track. Prepare vendor cash payments, internal/external transfers & deposits, and disbursements for work-related expenses as well as payroll adjustments. Ultimately responsibility for accurate cash counts and balances. --- FACILITIES: Daily responsibility for physical infrastructure, maintenance, and security of Depot & personnel. Work with building representatives and contractors to assure a well-built out and functioning facility. OTHER POSSIBLE RESPONSIBILITIES: --- Monitor and evaluate workflows and make recommendations for implementing process improvements. --- Management of Depot budget & P&L performance. --- Suggest and implement cost-savings ideas. --- Ensure all health, safety & regulatory guidelines are followed. --- A key success factor will be providing leadership in coaching, educating and training your key lieutenants and instilling a sense of accountability among the staff. --- Be data-centric. Be on top of daily KPIs to identify opportunities and challenges, and aggressively implement creative solutions. --- Take the initiative - lead Special Projects. Be a champion/advocate for company initiatives.
