Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelors Degree Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities As a Downstream Product Manager at NuVasive, you will be responsible for designing the strategy and messaging for our global product portfolio. You'll partner with the upstream and regional marketing teams to ensure seamless coordination across diverse markets. In the role, your responsibilities will include new product commercialization globally and ongoing portfolio management in support of corporate business objectives. You will engage with internal marketing teams as well as our sales force and surgeon customers. Other key responsibilities include surgical technique development, sales training, surgeon education, and tradeshow support. Because you are result-oriented, you take pride in optimizing profit as well as meeting/exceeding marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives by working across diverse internal and external teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and validate market requirements in collaboration with upstream marketing
  • Drive creation of product value messaging and product claims substantiation through clinical evidence generation
  • Develop marketing assets such as surgical techniques, sales collateral, and product in-service guides
  • Provide direct technical support to the sales force on product positioning
  • Participate in key sales situations for the product such as surgeon engagements
  • Own revenue and margin targets within procedure portfolios
  • Provide input on global product revenue forecast and margin targets
  • Build and maintain competitive intelligence gather and analysis that informs portfolio strategy
  • Develop multi-channel marketing campaigns, including core content development, messaging and positioning, for procedural portfolio and ensure alignment across regions
  • Develop and execute marketing programs to educate and engage surgeons on your products and platforms in support of the sales process

  • Execute strategy for excess and obsolescence of legacy products
  • Work with upstream counterparts to prepare and allocate budgets across product marketing initiatives Regional Coordination:--
    • Oversee marketing execution in regions to ensure consistent approach and strategy
    • Coordinate product launch execution with regional teams
    • Serve as point of contact for regions for marketing related matters
    • Ensure regional requirements are incorporated as inputs in product management and product development processes as well as downstream marketing requests (e.g., support)
    • Support regions in adapting global downstream marketing strategy and campaigns to region-specific circumstances
    • Communicate all market requirements for current and future products (min. 2-3 years out) #LI-HM1 Required Skills / Capabilities
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with a strong ability to write business reports and correspondence as well as the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, and management of organization
      • Effective communication skills with strong confidence to present before groups of customers, vendors, peers, and leadership
      • Ability to lead cross-functional project teams
      • Knowledgeable in cervical procedures, clinical applications, and products; engages in meaningful decision-making conversations with surgeons, sales, marketing, training, and other corporate teams Education and Experience Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
        • Preferred 3+ years' experience in Product Marketing, Product Management and/or Medical Device Travel and/or Physical Requirements
          • Must be able/willing to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
          • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
