Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond in a timely and professional manner to all external clients
and internal partners, and deliver clear and concise communication
that is representative of Concord Hospitality via all avenues of
communication.
Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation and
proactive planning, and endeavor to be organizationally savvy with
a keen focus on detail.
Maintain existing assigned accounts/segments, and work diligently
to develop new business for the hotel.
Effectively and efficiently monitor and manage all aspects of the
pre-event, event and post-event details: track, detail and
communicate the particulars of each assigned event and group
including (but not limited to) room blocks, meeting space, special
concessions, group history and other reports, cut-off and other key
dates, contract clauses, group resumes, Banquet Event Orders,
billing details and other integral aspects of groups and
events.
Due to the nature of groups and events, the position must be
willing and able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as
business needs dictate. The work schedule may fluctuate between a
Monday-Friday schedule and Tuesday-Saturday schedule to oversee the
execution of events. Because it is an hourly role, compensatory
time and/or overtime will be arranged in advance with the approval
of the hotel's Director of Sales.
Most tasks performed by this role are conducted independently and
with minimal direct supervision, or in a team environment with the
employee acting as a team leader. The ideal candidate will endeavor
to work in a unified and collaborative way, one that fosters
teamwork, and adopt an entrepreneurial spirit that enables one to
make the best possible decisions for the hotel while achieving the
team's overall goals.
Gain knowledge of hotel's food and beverage products, pricing and
presentation, and learn about the hotel's function space, audio
visual, and any other details related to event success.
Prepare for and participate in all necessary internal meetings,
conference calls, reporting, planning, and other communications
required for this position. Also prepare for and participate in
client site visits, tasting panels, pre- and post-con planning
meetings, networking, and other customer-centric meetings.
Consistently achieve individual revenue goals, performance metrics
and sales activity goals including (but not limited to) proactive
and reactive sales calls, site inspections and other client
appointments required for this position as outlined by Concord, the
hotel's brand, the Regional Vice President of Sales & Marketing and
the hotel's Director of Sales.
Learn and use digital sales systems and conceptual sales processes
(i.e. Delphi.fdc, OnQ PM, sales call process, etc.) and understand
the hotel's sales strategies (i.e. Marketing Plan, rates, budgeted
goals, etc.). Implement these tools and resources in order to
accomplish individual and team goals and efficiently complete job
duties.
PREFERENCES:
Experience: Minimum 2 years in hotel Catering/Convention
Services/Banquet/Group Sales OR an equivalent combination of
education and experience
Prior Hilton experience with knowledge of Hilton systems (i.e. The
Lobby, OnQ PM, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid driver's license and
reliable transportation to drive to client appointments and
networking events.
