As the Branch Manager you'll wear a lot of hats: teacher, coach, mentor and recruiter, working very closely with your Branch Services & Operations Manager (BSOM or Inside Sales Mgr), field sales team and key suppliers. Your role will be much like that of a Manager & Coach. You'll keep an eye open for industry talent and you'll be responsible for hiring, training and developing that talent to its full potential. With input from your District Manager, you'll devise a winning branch business plan and oversee its execution. You'll set the strategy with your BSOM's assistance, call the "plays" and celebrate the accomplishments of your people and your team. Travel expectations 25%.OrganizationA strong predictor of success for a Branch Manager is the ability to lead a team, manage multiple daily priorities while driving key strategic Company objectives. Like any leader's success, yours will be largely dependent on the success of your branch team and your achievement of performance objectives will reflect this synergy. You are the master branch strategy collaborator; ensuring that your BSOM/their Inside Team and the Field Sales Team are actively working in harmony with customers creating a world class service experience. Ultimately to position Heilind as the go-to distributor of choice when solving design challenges and ultimately choosing their demand fulfillment partners.Performance ObjectivesWithin the first 30 days as Branch Manager it's important that you have a roadmap. Take the initiative to meet with your District Manager, Branch Services and Operations Manager (Inside Sales Manager), peer Branch Managers, Regional Product Marketing Manager and Regional Operations Manager to understand the Company vision and key Company objectives for the branch. Determine & document your strategy to measure progress toward meeting or exceeding overall branch sales & margin budget objectives each month.Team Subset: Establish a schedule of weekly one-on-one meetings with your BSOM. Establish monthly one-on-one's and quarterly reviews with each Customer Business Manager (Field Sales Rep) to ensure proper communication and understanding of the Company's vision & goals and performance to stated objectives.Within the first 30 days, meet with our Top 10 Suppliers to understand: who the key personnel are for the territory being covered, what the main product focus is and what the largest branch opportunities are.Within the first 60 days, in collaboration with the Branch Services and Operations Manager, lead your portion of a weekly Branch Meeting.Within the first 90 days, execute Customer Sales Calls to the top 20 branch customers to begin to establish a relationship and gain an understanding of how they operate. Understand their current needs and in conjunction with the Customer Business Manager (Field Salesperson), identify potential future opportunities.the first 90 days, gain an understanding of Sales Funnel Tool sand Demand Identification Reports in order to ascertain if your sales team is achieving the agreed upon metrics.Team Subset: Train and coach the field sales team so they understand their role in new business identification and development. In conjunction with your District Manager and collaborating with your BSOM, implement a proactive business development plan for the branch team.the first 90 days, Develop a solid working relationships with all internal key support personnel.Team Subset: Set the standard to ensure your branch team maintains top levels of professionalism and diplomacy when dealing with our internal support teams.Within the first 180 days, network using various available means and methods available to identify potential future candidates for key branch positions.EXPERIENCEA Branch Manager for Heilind needs to have a bachelor's degree or 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in an electronic or related industry distribution company, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sales Management experience is desired. Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills are essential along with advanced knowledge of sales strategy and a solid grasp of "Distribution Economics".
