The Systems Engineering Directorate is seeking a senior engineering manager to lead integration for the NGAS Systems Engineering (SE) Community of Practice (CoP), managing common processes and products among the Aeronautics Systems Sector's sites. The Systems Engineering CoP integration lead will be responsible for the NGAS Systems Engineering process baseline, SE Sub-CoPs, and CoP strategic initiatives driven by Enterprise and Sector. The selected candidate will partner with all NGAS programs to understand priorities and develop common solutions to benefit multiple efforts. They will directly support the national Director of Systems Engineering on all enterprise and sector strategic initiatives within the directorate. General description and expectations: Manage NGAS Systems Engineering process baseline including PrOP, Nimbus, and PAL repositories
Stakeholder review of process packages through AS Engineering TRB
Integrate processes, tools, and training across all NGAS sites and programs
Understand processes and collaborate with multiple product teams
Enable technical discipline success from the NGAS Systems Engineering community of practices
Effectively manage Systems Engineering community of practice budget
Partner with NGAS Programs to tailor and collect relevant Systems Engineering execution and First Time Quality (FTQ) metrics
Conduct Independent Review Teams (IRTs) and Non-Advocate reviews (NARs) for Program milestones and proposals
Understand the deliverables of team members, timelines, expectations, and business impact
Determine critical skills required for current and future needs and working to develop and implement a strategy to augment the team's skills to meet the business demands.
Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university, with 9 years of experience or Masters and 7 years of experience
Experience in technical program or functional leadership
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary team
Active DoD Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain a PAR
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD TS clearance with current Special Program access
MS in STEM discipline from an accredited university
Experience in the aerospace defense acquisition community
Experience in multiple disciplines including software, electronics, and/or systems engineering
Significant experience with Earned Value Management
5 years of experience in lead or first level manager role in a technical engineering capacity
Experience in test case development, integration and test, and agile methodologies Salary Range: $171,000 USD - $256,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
