Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is looking for a Program Manager 3 on the Targets program. The Targets program is part of the Tactical Autonomous Systems portfolio in the Autonomous Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Targeting (AISR&T) Business Unit in the Global Surveillance Division. The selected candidate will report to the Tactical Autonomous Systems Program Director and serve in a key leadership role. This position will be located in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo), CA. The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and capabilities. The individual will lead a matrixed-functional team aligned to program performance goals for multiple customers through inception to award and completion of scope. The successful candidate will be assisting the Targets Program in growth opportunities and requires an understanding of DOD customer communities, program management skills, proven business execution and planning capabilities, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across the enterprise. The selected candidate must be able to interact with and influence executive level management and customers. Effective communication skills are a must to include both oral and written presentations. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
Responsible for the product quality, cost, schedule and technical performance of contracted activities.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Cultivate customer intimacy and develop customer and stakeholder relationships.
Balance manpower and resources across multiple sites.
Set and maintain high ethical environment standards that lead to safe and effective operations.
Assist in conducting Program Reviews with Northrop Grumman executives, suppliers, and customers. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years experience in either program management or engineering leadership OR a Master's degree with 7+ years' experience
Experience with Earned Value Management and demonstrated financial acumen
Prior experience leading large multi-functional teams
An active DoD secret clearance
Prior leadership experience Preferred Qualifications Effective communications skills both verbal and written
Excels at leveraging interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
Excels at operating at a fast pace in a diverse environment
Open to direction and committed to get the job completed
Experience managing manufacturing/production contracts
An active DoD top secret clearance
STEM degree
Experience successfully managing programs of $50M or greater in the aerospace industry
Experience managing classified programs Salary Range: $166,100 USD - $249,100 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
