more Job Summary: Responsible for facilitating contracts,
negotiation and management of all external and internal procurement
and contracting arrangements. To ensure that all procurement and
contracting activities are carried out in accordance with
legislation, council policies and procedures and principles of good
practice including ethics and probity. Essential Functions:
- Submits and prepares follow-on year costing on all service
contracts and requests amendments and modifications of
contracts.
- Develop innovative contracting approaches to achieve positive
outcomes for users of services.
- Maintain abreast of new legislation, government policy, best
practice and relevant external factors relevant to procurement and
contracting activity.
- Develop and implement arrangements for internal service
agreements and to develop procedure for monitoring and
enforcement.
- Ability to overview situations, review and evaluate, defining
set plans to achieve business goals. Keep up to date with market
trends and new developments utilizing information for business
improvement.
- Processing of contracts requests for equitable adjustments and
claims when work performed falls outside of contractual
responsibilities or when costs incurred are not reimbursed under
contractual terms.
- Maintains contact with contracting procurement agencies, i.e.
DeCA, GSA, etc. to ensure the smooth working of the contract
awarding process.
- Collaborate in conjunction with Divisional Managers to insure
that all input regarding contractual performance is received from
the field and so that contractual requirements are properly
communicated back to the Divisional Manager.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed. Resume is required to
submit as an attachment. Requirements Knowledge, Skill and
Experience: Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
Fifth Year College or University Program Certificate; or two to
four years related experience and/or t raining; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Minimum Experienced
Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

essential functions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal
with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of

in English. Skills Required: Ability to read, analyze, and
interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write
reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions from
groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry
and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Spreadsheet software and
Word Processing software. Ability to fluently read, write and speak
English. Salary Range: $35.00 - $40.00 Hour DOE (Depends on
