Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):

  • Extensive experience writing and pricing proposals.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) required.
  • Experience leading and managing other contracts professionals is required.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of results.
  • Demonstrated skilled communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills as well as outstanding presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software; strong spreadsheet skills and pricing development and analysis is mandatory.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple demands and leverage resources appropriately.Desired Skill Requirements:Experience with Service Contract Act contract administration preferred. Procurement management and oversight also strongly preferred.

    Job Duties:This is a key leadership position in the INDUS Technology Corporate Organization. The position is responsible for leading all aspects of the Contracts organization to support the needs of the entire business across the country. The position serves as the liaison between INDUS Technology and customer Contracting Officers and/or subcontract procurement agents as needed for pre-award activities, proposals, and contract negotiations, as well as cradle-to-grave contract administration activities on INDUS Technology contracts. The position will lead staff in support of a broad range of services contracts and subcontracts across multiple contract types to include CPFF, FFP, CPIF, CPAF and T&M. This position requires a collaborative team builder with ability to interface with executive management and program managers on a regular basis. The candidate will:
    • Review and negotiate a variety of agreements (e.g. proprietary information agreements, teaming agreements, licensing agreements, etc.) and develop related documentation;
    • Lead and perform pricing analyses and develop price-to-win options for management analysis and decision;
    • Lead the review and analysis of RFPs, take exception to terms, as appropriate, write and submit compliant cost proposals;
    • Support and advise management on risks, contractual rights and obligations;
    • Stay current with new laws and proposed legislation, interpret the potential impact on current and future contracts;
    • Coordinate activities with a team of contract managers and administrators to manage contracts and agreements from proposal preparation, negotiation, and administration through close-out;
    • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with contracting officers of the US government, prime contractors, DCAA, DCMA and other related organizations;
    • Ability to draft clauses and correspondence;
    • Ensure that risks are assessed on potential projects, managed during contract execution and reported.
    • Manage the contracts staff, providing training, direction, performance management and development.The position will also be responsible for purchasing and working with the organization to source supplies, materials, equipment and services. This leadership position maintains governance policies for the Contracts Organization and provides related advice to management.

      • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Legal studies (Master's Degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.)
