The mission of The Center is to enhance and sustain the health and well-being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, transgender, nonbinary, immigrant, and HIV communities for the betterment of our entire San Diego region. The Center currently has over 75 staff working at five facilities across San Diego County.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Community Programs, the Crisis Services Manager leads the crisis management team and services. This includes overseeing the work of the crisis services team and day-to-day supervision. It also includes services such as adult emergency housing; food services including the monthly food bank, food distribution, and The Center's food pantry; and this position will serve as the onsite lead to respond to mental health, sexual assault, and domestic violence crises at the main Center location. Additionally, this position will oversee the two On Duty Systems Navigators and the Client Crisis Responder and Community Advocate. The Crisis Services Manager will establish and maintain an active and positive working relationship with The Center's programs and services staff, welcome desk staff, community partners, and other LGBTQ-affirming providers to ensure client's are connected to the most affirming service options available.

PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead crisis services team which includes oversight of their work, day-to-day supervision
  • With the support of Center leadership, serve as the lead onsite person to address immediate crises at the main Center location
  • Oversee The Center's food services program
  • Oversee The Center's adult emergency housing program
  • Manage the crisis services budget to ensure spending is within set limits and achieves contract spend out
  • Ensure required paperwork is completed timely and accurate
  • Ensure grant deliverables are met and required data is collected for reporting
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance department to ensure accurate, complete, and timely data is collected for crisis services


    Required Qualifications:

    • EXPERIENCE: 2 years of staff supervision and management experience, Experience with crisis intervention and case management
    • EDUCATION: Master's degree in a social science field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling
    • PROFESSIONAL SKILLS: Critical thinking skills; strong leadership and interpersonal skills; knowledge about de-escalation techniques, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing
    • LANGUAGE SKILLS: English required

      • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual Spanish
      • CERTIFICATIONS: Licensure


        COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

        • Compensation: The pay range for this position is $64,500.00 to $66,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This is a full-time regular exempt position.
